Andrea’s role of vice president consists of overseeing a staff of five who assist her in handling Wiencek’s contractual and financial obligations including the company’s annual budget, day-to-day decision making and accounting. Andrea was responsible for finding, setting up, and fitting out Wiencek’s D.C. office when the firm decided it was time to expand into the D.C. market. And she brings a key business sense when it comes to making the right call on business decisions for Wiencek + Associates.
“With the evolution of our economy, the built environment has seen significant changes. Currently, our clients want quality work for less. Projects are taking longer to get funded, and everyone wants to protect themselves. I’m making sure we’re constantly adapting to address and overcome these ever-evolving challenges.”

More About Andrea
Andrea earned her stripes one rung at a time. Her tenacity, hunger and passion for business fuel a tangible inner fire. This fire has empowered her to work late nights and long hours consistently over a 10-year period. And as a result, she’s earned her title and position in half the time it takes most.
Andrea began her career with Wiencek + Associates as receptionist at the age of 19. And over the course of her tenure with the firm, she has handled every aspect of the business outside of design and architecture. She has served as executive assistant to Michael Wiencek; a position which taught her how to think critically, and with the business’ best interests in mind. She was then promoted to an operations position where she was responsible for running the Gaithersburg, MD office including human resources and accounting. Soon after, Andrea took on the title of director of corporate administration where she was involved in planning the strategic budget and creating the company’s first formal operating plan.
Andrea is currently attending college where she is studying business. Her expected graduation date is May 2012. Upon receiving her Bachelor of Science in Business, Andrea plans to continue on to study for her Masters degree in business.
