Jay has been with Wiencek + Associates since 2006. He is responsible for Wiencek's sustainable building practices and enjoys projects that allow him to explore the boundaries of green design. When you look at Jay's resume, his commitment to sustainability is solidified. He is the 2009 and 2010 chair the AIA|DC committee on the environment and he has consulted with DDOE to create a grant program for energy efficient, affordable housing solutions. Jay is also a certified green charrette facilitator and was named the 2009 AIA|DC emerging architect of the year.
Jay graduated in 2003 and holds a Bachelor's degree in architecture. Since graduating college, he has been working on developing sustainable housing solutions. It is the "people impact" of green design that Jay enjoys most.
Jay credits W+A's hands-on approach to community development for allowing him ample opportunity to explore both high and low-tech green methods of improving the buildings and lives.
