Originally from Kaohsiung, Taiwan, Joe graduated from Tulane University with a Bachelors and Masters of Architecture in 2007 and has been part of the W+A team ever since. He’s worked on the full spectrum of projects within the office; gaining experience in both new construction and renovation work on a variety of multi-family and commercial projects; from schematic design through construction administration. Joe shares the company’s vision of “Design Empowering People,” and strives to continue making positive impact on neighborhoods in the DC metro area. Outside the office, Joe is committed to making a difference in the community through his volunteer work with the AIA. He’s a board member of the local Potomac Valley chapter, serving as Chair of the Emerging Professionals committee. In addition, Joe was elected to the AIA’s National Associates Committee; representing the DC, Baltimore, Chesapeake Bay, and Delaware chapters as the Mid-Atlantic’s Regional Associate Director. Joe works actively with the other 18 directors from around the country in advocating for mentorship, licensure, and other issues that are important for the development of the next generation of architect leaders.
